This month is National Lost Pet Prevention Month. On average, 1 in every 5 pets go missing on July 4th. The Crandall Public Works Department can only pick up strays within the city limits, and their capacity is limited. To reduce the unnecessary strain on resources, think about your furry friends and keep them safe with these simple tips:
* Ensure your pet is microchipped and pet tags have accurate contact information
* Create a safe spot for your pet
* Play calming music
* Spend time with your pets before and during fireworks
Fireworks and firearms are not allowed to be set off in the city limits of Crandall. The Crandall Police Department has a "Zero Tolerance" policy and will enforce any violations. Please call the non-emergency number at 469.376.4500 to report unlawful fireworks and save 9-1-1 for emergencies. Read more about this city ordinance at https://ecode360.com/40902770.
